FLOUR CHEST
You don't often find a flour chest in your hunt for antiques.
This one also has a large box on the
inside that probably held the block of sugar.
The box appears to be made of poplar & is up on turned
feet. One back foot has slight repair
due to everyday wear. The corners are all visibly hand-dovetailed
with wide boards. There are 2 doors below which hold the
chute from which the flour came down. The piece is clean & has
no signs
that it has ever been painted. Approx. measuremants are; 44
in wide; 39 in. high, & 24 in. deep. This
excellent storage piece is priced right at $1,695.00. The
buyer is responsible for getting it home. |
